Best farm to table restaurant in town. The mushroom appetizer was the standout, perfectly balanced and the tenderloins were incredibly soft and flavorful. We paired everything with an amazing Argentinian Malbec that complemented the meal beautifully. The bread pudding dessert was absolutely insane and the perfect sweet finish.

We LOVED DJing a wedding at Sunflower Restaurant! We are a local DJ company, Gunnison Valley Entertainment and working at The Sunflower the staff was wonderful, the food was spectacular, and the vibes were wonderful all night for the couple and their guests. Grateful to have restaurants in the Valley willing to open their doors to couples and vendors like us. Would love to be back and DJ again in the future!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would—though I’m pretty sure Chris (the owner and unofficial mayor of flavor-town) would just hand-deliver me another plate of food and say, “See, this is the sixth star.” The food was out-of-this-world good—the kind where you’re negotiating with your stomach to please, please make more room. Every bite felt like it was cooked with both skill and soul. And then there’s Chris, who didn’t just drop by the table; he seemed to have a superpower for tailoring the whole experience to us. From recommendations that felt like he knew our taste buds better than we do, to little touches that made the night unforgettable, he made it feel like we were guests in his home rather than just customers. Bottom line: the food was incredible, the atmosphere was warm, and Chris made sure it was personal in the best way possible. We left full, happy, and plotting our excuse to come back way sooner than is socially acceptable.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Sunflower at the end of March and we were absolutely thrilled with how perfect this venue was for our small group of 25. Natalie made the process so simple from start to finish: there weren’t pages upon pages of contracts or hidden costs. She gave us a straight forward, all-inclusive cost and made it easy for our wedding planners to come in during the day before our reception and decorate/transform the restaurant into a magical, flower-filled space that felt intimate and uniquely ours for the evening. Natalie and Chris created a beautiful, locally resourced menu with flavors that were astounding. Our guests were blown away by the courses that never seemed to end and the amount of food they were served. Speaking of service - our servers and bartenders were THE BEST. Ben and team were top notch - they kept our drinks and plates full, and when we cleared the tables for dancing, they were out there celebrating with us. It really felt more like we were partying at a really cool family member’s house than a restaurant! We can’t say enough good things about this beautiful, intimate space, the amazing food, wonderful service and the absolutely lovely people at Sunflower who made our evening magical. Thank you, Natalie, Chris, Ben and Team!

What can I say other than THANK YOU to Natalie and the entire Sunflower team? They went above and beyond to make our wedding reception not only delicious but truly special. Leading up to the event, they were incredible to work with, and on the night of, they made everything feel seamless. Sunflower feels like home in the best possible way—warm, cozy, and with food that is absolutely top tier. It was my goal to have the best wedding food anyone has ever had, and Sunflower completely delivered. Every course was better than the last, and our families are still raving about it. A huge thank you to Natalie, Chris, Ben, and everyone at Sunflower—we will treasure that night forever!

Make your reservation at Sunflower right after you book your lodging in Crested Butte. The food is spectacular. This was our second visit and Chris and Ben made us feel like one of the family. Hospitality and a true passion for unfussy excellence shine through in everyone and everything at Sunflower. We can't wait to go back!

Yet another place in town that lived up to the hype. Yes,it’s on the pricey side and, unlike many places we’ve visited, we felt our dinner was worth it. Nick, our waiter, took care of us. He walked us through the menu and how the food is prepared and served. It was a privilege to be hosted by him and the Sunflower staff. When we were there, the ambiance was festive and lively. Don’t expect a quiet, intimate setting! We can’t wait to revisit this gem again.

One of the best, if not the best meals I’ve had all year. Plates are focused and comes together perfectly. Not too pretentious. Service was also incredible. Would give it more stars if I could.
